UK Web Host Timico Enlists BT iNet Help to Build Data Center

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- UK web hosting provider Timico (www.timico.co.uk) announced last week it has selected web hosting provider BT iNet (www.btinetonline.com) as its strategic partner to construct a new $8 million data center located in Newark, UK.

The tier 3 facility will will provide two 2,000 square foot data halls, with each data hall holding a capacity for 72 colocation racks to house customers' equipment.

Cisco's Unified Computing System and EMC's VNX platforms will provide virtual computing and storage capabilities to accomodate the growing demand from Timico's business customers.
