Amazon Hosting added Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Amazon recently announced on their Web Services blog that users of the Electric Computer Cloud (EC2) infrastructure will be adding a service that has the ability to run Red Hat Enterprise Linux featuring support from Amazon and Red Hat. This is further proof that Amazon continues to expand its AWS offerings. Compatible Software The EC2 service was primarily based on the Windows operating system with a limited number of Linux distributors such as SUSE, OpenSolaris and Oracle. The implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux is only the beginning. Amazon has plans to run Red Hat’s Fedora, Ubuntu, Gentoo and Debian in the near future.
