GoDaddy Business Auction Cancelled

FaceBook.com Sues FacePorn.com

According to ComputerWorld.com, Facebook filed suit on October 15th today against Faceporn.com, alleging  the site essentially copied Facebook to build an adult social networking platform “Until recently, Faceporn billed itself as “the number one socializing porn and sex network,” offering a range of pornographic content. Sex.com Domain Sold for $13M

Finally, the bidding war for famed sex.com has come to an end. According to reports from Informationweek, Clover Holdings has agreed to pay $13 million for the rights to the domain. The domain became available in July 2010 when the previous owner, Escom filed for bankruptcy. Completion of the sale is expected to be finalized by late October. No details have been released yet on what the site will now feature, but I’m sure its safe to assume what the topic will be

WSJ: GoDaddy is Up For Sale

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that The Go Daddy Group is putting itself up for sale, citing unnamed sources. The Go Daddy Group runs domain name registrar GoDaddy.com. These sources tell WSJ that the company has retained Qatalyst Partners, a firm run by veteran technology banker Frank Quattrone, to shop the company. Google May Change Domain Parking Requirements

DNS parking may be required in the future. A few days ago Sedo informed its customers that its primary advertising provider (read: Google) may change the way it allows domains to be parked. DNS.com Charges Ahead Thanks in Part to Great Domain Name

DNS company gets marketing kick with DNS.com. Last month at HostingCon I met with Cloud.com to learn how their great domain name has propelled their business.
